About the Opportunity
Getty Images is seeking an emerging photographer to join our Editorial Sports team through a six-month Sports Photography Traineeship based in Sydney.
This fixed-term, part-time opportunity is designed to support the development of early-career sports photographers through practical experience, dedicated mentorship and exposure to professional editorial photography workflows. The successful candidate will work alongside Getty Images photographers, editors, and editorial staff, gaining experience across live sports coverage, image editing, captioning, metadata, transmission and editorial production processes.
The programme includes mentorship from Getty Images staff sports photographers and Nikon Ambassador, Hannah Peters, as well as guidance from Getty Images sports photographers, editors and editorial staff. Participants will have opportunities to contribute to sporting event coverage, subject to editorial requirements, operational needs and accreditation availability.
