Job Description & Summary:  We are looking for a skilled Performance Test Engineer to ensure our enterprise applications deliver exceptional speed, scalability, and stability under peak user loads. In this role, you will design robust test strategies, identify architectural bottlenecks, conduct root-cause analysis, and collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams to optimize end-to-end system performance.    

Responsibilities: 

• Test Strategy & Execution: Design, build, and execute comprehensive load, stress, endurance (soak), and scalability test scripts.    

• Bottleneck Identification: Monitor server infrastructure, database metrics, and application logs during test runs to isolate performance degradation and bottlenecks.    

• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Partner with software developers to profile code, review slow SQL queries, and resolve memory leaks or concurrency issues. 

• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated performance testing scripts into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. 

• Reporting & Benchmarking: Establish performance baselines, track KPIs across releases, and present clear diagnostic reports to technical stakeholders.     

Mandatory skill sets: 

• Experience: 6 

• + years of hands-on experience in performance testing and software engineering. 

• Tools Expertise: Proficiency in standard performance testing tools (e.g., Apache JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner). 

• Monitoring & APM: Practical experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana). 

• Scripting & Coding: Strong coding/scripting foundations in Java, Python, or JavaScript for custom test scenarios. 

• Databases & Protocols: Solid understanding of web protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs) and database query optimization (SQL).    

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.  

 

Preferred skill sets: 

• Experience: 6 

• + years of hands-on experience in performance testing and software engineering.
