Keep code reliable and easy to maintain with solid testing, thoughtful reviews, and good practices.

An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Nice to have:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting and based in San Francisco, CA or Denver, CO, you'll play a strategic, highly visible role within Checkr's Finance Operations (FinOps) organization — shaping how deals are structured and new revenue models come to market while ensuring alignment with ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP. You'll lead technical revenue accounting analyses, own the revenue close process, and translate accounting guidance into clear, scalable policies that balance compliance, efficiency, and commercial impact. You'll partner closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, and RevOps to influence decisions that directly shape Checkr's continued growth.
What you’ll do

Own technical revenue accounting under ASC 606, serving as subject matter expert for complex revenue recognition matters, including contract assessments, non-standard deal structures, and evolving pricing and product models.

Lead the revenue accounting close for month-end and quarter-end, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition, reconciliations, and reporting.

Provide strategic accounting guidance to the business, partnering with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, RevOps, and FP&A to influence deal structures, product launches, and go-to-market initiatives before execution.

Design, prototype, and ship AI-enabled tools and agents that automate manual work across the quote-to-cash lifecycle, compounding impact within the team and beyond.

Draft technical accounting memos and maintain SOX-ready documentation, owning key controls and supporting audit readiness across revenue processes as the business scales.

Lead high-impact revenue initiatives and special projects, applying technical judgment and analytical insight to enable compliant growth and data-driven decision-making.

What you bring

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA strongly preferred; 6+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience (Big 4 plus industry preferred).

Deep technical expertise in U.S. GAAP and ASC 606, with demonstrated experience evaluating complex customer contracts, non-standard deal structures, and revenue recognition judgments.

Track record owning revenue close activities with increasing scope, speed, and accuracy, plus strong project ownership leading ambiguous or cross-functional initiatives.

Demonstrated AI fluency — you've moved past using AI for one-off tasks toward building and shipping tools or agents (e.g., with Claude, Lovable, Cursor, Gemini, or similar) that create leverage for the broader team, with hands-on SQL/BI experience.

Excellent written and verbal communicator who partners effectively with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, Product, RevOps, FP&A, and Engineering — translating technical accounting conclusions for non-technical stakeholders.

An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.

This Customer Support Representative I role reports to the Senior Manager, Operations and will be among the first Customer Support agents in Checkr's Nashville office, providing fast, empathetic, omnichannel support across email, chat, and voice. You'll resolve a high volume of customer inquiries, troubleshoot issues with sound judgment, and act as a subject-matter expert who can handle escalations with minimal oversight. You'll partner closely with Shared Services on training, quality, and knowledge management, and with Product to surface recurring customer pain points, helping prove out Checkr's investment in scaled, high-quality support as the team grows alongside AI-driven tools.
What you’ll do

Drive Resolutions: Resolve high-priority support requests from SMB and Mid-Market customers, using judgment to know when to solve versus escalate

Control the Conversation: Confidently guide customer interactions across chat, email, and phone, setting expectations, de-escalating tension, and steering toward resolution

Take Radical Ownership: Act as the internal champion for your customers, seeing every issue through from first contact to full resolution, partnering with cross-functional teams when needed

Leverage AI Tools: Work alongside Checkr's AI-driven tools to automate routine tasks and catch when their answers are wrong, so you can focus your judgment where it actually matters

Own Technical & Compliance Depth: Handle account setup, integration questions, billing issues, and compliance questions (including FCRA), becoming the go-to for complex, edge-case requests

Identify friction points in the customer journey and help train and refine the AI models and SOPs your team relies on by providing feedback

What you bring

2+ years of experience in B2B customer support, customer success, or technical support, SaaS environment preferred

Comfortable navigating complex software ecosystems and confident using AI tools to move faster, while catching when their output is wrong

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the presence to control a conversation and de-escalate a frustrated customer

A genuine problem-solver's mindset: complex, ambiguous issues energize you rather than drain you, and you use SOPs as a guide, not a script

Curiosity about how our product, policies, and compliance requirements fit together, with a bias toward learning the why, not just the how

An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes

Reporting to Checkr's Senior Manager of Operations, the Associate Manager will build and lead a brand new, Nashville-based support team dedicated to delivering an exceptional candidate experience. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll onboard, coach, and grow a team of 5-6 new hires from day one, owning their performance, quality, and development as they ramp across email, chat, and voice. You'll partner closely with Checkr's Customer Experience leadership and vendor management teams to align standards across the org, playing a foundational role as Checkr scales its Nashville hub.

What you’ll do

Build and lead a new Nashville-based team of 5-6 support specialists, owning hiring ramp, onboarding, and day-to-day performance from the ground up

Coach reps in real time through call and ticket reviews, live shadowing, and structured 1:1s, turning good performance into great candidate experiences

Own candidate experience quality and KPIs (SLA, quality scores, CSAT-style metrics), diagnosing gaps and building corrective action plans when performance slips

Partner with the Customer Experience team to align on shared standards, escalation paths, and workflows as both teams scale together

Partner with vendor management to define quality expectations for outsourced work and hold vendor performance to the same bar as your in-house team

Build repeatable onboarding, training, and coaching frameworks that let the Nashville hub scale cleanly as headcount grows beyond this first class

What you bring

4+ years leading customer support, contact center, or operations teams, with direct people management experience

A proven track record coaching frontline reps through structured 1:1 coaching or training programs, with real, measurable improvement to show for it

Comfort owning KPIs and translating data into concrete coaching and process changes, not just reporting on the numbers

Experience partnering cross-functionally with peer leaders and/or vendor/BPO partners to align quality standards across teams

A hands-on, on-the-floor coaching style, energized by being in the trenches with a growing team rather than managing from a distance

Nice to have: experience in background screening, fintech, healthcare, or another regulated, compliance-heavy service industry

An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes.
