<div class="content-intro">About Mixpanel
Mixpanel is the leading product intelligence and analytics platform, trusted by more than 29,000 companies to help understand how people use the products they build. By combining powerful analytics with AI that knows your business, Mixpanel helps teams see what’s working, diagnose what’s not, and decide what to build next. Learn more at <a href="https://mixpanel.com/home/">mixpanel.com</a>.</div>About the Role
As Mixpanel scales into the enterprise, this role is strategic: you'll own the systems and surface area that determine whether IT and security teams can confidently standardize on Mixpanel. Product Platform's mission is to earn the trust of enterprise-grade customers — organizations with formal procurement, security review functions, and a long institutional memory of rolling software out — across three dimensions: reliable performance at scale, security and compliance, and frictionless adoption by large organizations.
You'll own Mixpanel's core enterprise management surface: identity and access management (RBAC, SSO, passkeys, audit logging), admin and account orchestration (settings, provisioning, organization setup), the public API and extensibility surface, and the consistency of the design system and shared components every product team builds on. The surface area is growing, too — conversations are underway about extending the platform's remit into adjacent areas like plan management as Mixpanel's enterprise footprint expands.
What You'll Do
<ul>
<li>Define and drive the roadmap for Mixpanel's enterprise management surface — identity and access management, SSO and authentication, audit logging, admin controls, and account/org settings</li>
<li>Anticipate requirements from enterprise security reviews, compliance obligations, and the large organizations evaluating Mixpanel, and translate them into a prioritized roadmap</li>
<li>Own the consistency and reliability of shared platform foundations — the design system and components, public APIs, and the patterns every other product team builds on</li>
<li>Partner with engineering leads on architecture-level tradeoffs: reliability and performance at scale, and what belongs in the platform versus what individual product teams own</li>
<li>Build the business case for platform investments, making the indirect ROI of trust, security, and compliance work legible to leadership</li>
<li>Stay directly connected to enterprise customers and the GTM teams (Sales, CS) who see platform gaps show up in live deals, and translate that signal into roadmap decisions</li>
<li>Define and maintain measurement standards for platform health — reliability, security posture, and the onboarding experience for large organizations</li>
<li>Help shape how the platform's remit evolves as Mixpanel's enterprise footprint grows, including adjacent surface area like plan management</li>
</ul>
What We're Looking For
<ul>
<li>5+ years of PM experience owning meaningful, technically complex problems end-to-end</li>
<li>Direct experience with identity, access management, enterprise administration, or security-adjacent product work</li>
<li>Systems thinker who understands how platform-layer decisions ripple across products, user journeys, and engineering teams</li>
<li>A track record of driving alignment and delivering outcomes across engineering, security, and GTM functions without relying on formal authority</li>
<li>Experience building business cases for security, compliance, or infrastructure investments with long or indirect ROI</li>
<li>Technical fluency with engineers on identity, auth, and security infrastructure tradeoffs</li>
<li>Clear, direct written and verbal communication</li>
</ul>
Nice to Have
<ul>
<li>Deep familiarity with SSO protocols (SAML, OIDC), passkeys/WebAuthn, or RBAC design patterns</li>
<li>Experience navigating SOC 2, GDPR, or enterprise security review processes as a PM</li>
<li>Hands-on Mixpanel user</li>
<li>Experience at a company navigating single-product to multiproduct platform complexity</li>

Product Manager - Platform

Learn more at <a href="https://mixpanel.com/home/">mixpanel.com</a>.</div>About the Role
The core of Mixpanel’s value to customers has always been great data. We’re in an exciting moment for the way our users are thinking about and working with product data, and we need help figuring out how our position in the data infrastructure stack evolves. That’s why we’re hiring a fantastic Product Manager for Mixpanel Data.
In this role, you'll own Mixpanel's strategy and roadmap for where we sit in the data landscape - how our data architecture evolves, where we build versus integrate versus get out of the way, and what it means for Mixpanel to work with data that increasingly lives outside our walls as well as inside them. This is a pathfinding role: a large part of the job is turning ambiguous technical and business tradeoffs into a clear point of view, a roadmap, and decisions the engineering and leadership team can act on.
What You'll Do
<ul>
<li>Define and drive Mixpanel's strategy and roadmap for how the product evolves alongside customers' data warehouses, lakes, and the broader modern data stack</li>
<li>Turn complex, ambiguous architecture and business tradeoffs into a clear recommendation, grounded in customer evidence, competitive context, and business impact</li>
<li>Partner closely with engineering leadership on build-vs-integrate-vs-partner decisions that shape Mixpanel's data architecture for years to come</li>
<li>Talk directly to customers and prospects to understand how their data infrastructure and workflows are changing, and translate that into product bets</li>
<li>Build the business case for infrastructure-level investments, making the ROI of foundational, long-horizon work legible to leadership</li>
<li>Define how Mixpanel's data model, governance, and metadata need to evolve to support deeper analysis and a growing product portfolio</li>
<li>Align engineering, design, and go-to-market teams around a shared strategic point of view, with clear, written communication</li>
<li>Define and track the metrics that tell you whether the strategy is working, and course-correct as new evidence comes in</li>
</ul>
What We're Looking For
<ul>
<li>5+ years of hands-on product management experience, including ownership of technically complex, infrastructure- or platform-level problems</li>
<li>Direct experience with the modern data stack — data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT, or data platform tooling — as a builder, user, or product owner</li>
<li>Comfort operating in ambiguity, with a track record of synthesizing competing technical and business inputs into a clear strategic point of view</li>
<li>Experience partnering closely with engineering on architecture-level tradeoffs, not just feature scoping</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bring technical and non-technical audiences along on a strategic narrative</li>
<li>Experience using AI tools in product management workflows (e.g., competitive research, prototyping)</li>
</ul>
Nice to Have
<ul>
<li>Experience at a data infrastructure, data platform, or analytics company</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with data warehouses/lakehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks) or open data formats</li>
<li>Experience writing production-grade software</li>
<li>Experience designing products using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Abstract</li>

AI has made it possible to build almost anything. The constraint on great software is no longer engineering capacity, it's judgment about what's actually worth building. Product Managers at Mixpanel build products for customers that help them answer that question, by digging deep into customer problems to answer it themselves.
Mixpanel’s Product Managers operate with high ownership and trust. As a team, we focus on helping every builder - not just the ones with a statistics background - get real answers out of messy product data, and make the judgment calls that separate delightful products from bloated ones.
We're also our own best customer. The team uses Mixpanel every day to build Mixpanel: testing our own product intuitions against our own data, catching what works and what doesn't before our users ever see it.
<h3>About the Role</h3>
Product Managers build valuable products for customers by focusing our engineering and design teams on the problems that matter most. Mixpanel turns data clarity into innovation. Trusted by more than 29,000 companies, including Workday, Pinterest, LG, and Rakuten Viber, Mixpanel’s AI-first digital analytics help teams accelerate adoption, improve retention, and ship with confidence. Powering this is an industry-leading platform that combines product and web analytics, session replay, experimentation, feature flags, and metric trees. Mixpanel delivers insights that customers trust. Visit <a href="http://mixpanel.com">mixpanel.com</a> to learn more.

<h3>About The Team</h3>
Mixpanel Engineering is a small, fast-moving team focused on delivering real value to customers. We build powerful AI-powered product analytics while obsessing over clarity, simplicity, and delight. Engineers here own problems end to end. You can move across the stack to ship impact without being blocked by silos or heavy process. Product innovation drives our business, and product engineering teams own that responsibility.
Our OLAP engine queries over 500 trillion events; a typical blob storage system we interact with processes 300 PiB/month at 1.2 Tbps sustained, and we run many of them across the world.
The Data Runtime team owns the data execution layer that powers every Mixpanel product. We ensure that every customer query runs fast, cheap, and reliably, at any scale.
This is an exciting time to join. Mixpanel's agentic and AI-first products are driving rapid growth in query volume, and Data Runtime is making the big bets that power it. We’re investing in elastic query compute and a distributed file cache that will let us scale query workloads dramatically without scaling cost with them. We sit at the center of the data platform, interfacing daily with Query Serving, Streaming, Core Analysis, Data Foundation, Product, and other teams across the company.
The team combines deep expertise in high-scale distributed systems and backend engineering. It's a senior-heavy team, including Staff-level engineers with years of context in the engine internals, which means you'll be surrounded by people you can learn from and grow with.

<h3>About The Role</h3>
As a Software Engineer III (L3) on Data Runtime, you'll design and build the systems that execute every query at Mixpanel. You'll contribute to the technical design for complex distributed-systems projects, from prototype to global rollout, on initiatives like elastic query compute, the distributed file cache, columnar storage internals, and compaction.
You'll work alongside some of the most senior engineers at Mixpanel, partner with peer infrastructure teams (Query Serving, Streaming, Data Foundation) and product teams (Core Analysis, AI-powered experiences) on shared architecture, and have real influence over the technical direction of the compute layer that Mixpanel's AI-first future runs on.

<h3>We're Looking For Someone Who Has</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.</li>
<li>3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating data infra/backend systems, with a track record of shipping quality work quickly.</li>
<li>A solid foundation in distributed systems or data infrastructure, and the drive to go deep.</li>
<li>Experience owning a project or significant component end to end: driving the design, building it, shipping it, and running it in production.</li>
<li>Strong technical communication, especially in writing, e.g., design docs, code review, async discussion across a distributed team.</li>
<li>Sound judgment in technical tradeoffs, informed by real lessons from operating systems in production.</li>
<li>High ownership and accountability.</li>
<li>A desire to be at the forefront of the infrastructure powering AI-first analytics at thousands of companies.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Technical Skills We Value</h3>
<ul>
<li>Languages: Go, C/C++, Python, and SQL.</li>
<li>Distributed systems: sharding/partitioning, replication, distributed scheduling, work fanout/merge, consistent hashing.</li>
<li>Storage &amp; query engines: columnar formats (Arrow/Parquet or in-house equivalents), indexing, and compression.</li>
<li>Caching: distributed file/block caches, admission and eviction policies, tiered storage.</li>
<li>Performance engineering: profiling (pprof, perf), concurrency, memory management, benchmarking.</li>
<li>Cloud &amp; infra: GCP (GCS, GKE, Spanner) or equivalent AWS/Azure, Kubernetes.</li>
<li>Reliability: observability (metrics, tracing, logging), SLOs, incident management.</li>
<li>AI-augmented engineering: LLM tooling to accelerate development, triage, and operations.</li>
</ul>

<h3>How We Work</h3>
<ul>
<li>Teams operate as autonomous pods, with engineering, product, and design working side by side on clear strategic goals. Teams have direct access to customer feedback, product usage data, business metrics, and design context.</li>
<li>We start with customer problems. We reason from first principles. We challenge assumptions. We aim for simple solutions to complex problems and avoid unnecessary abstraction.</li>
<li>Engineering owns execution, quality, and operations. There are no project managers, QA teams, or separate SREs. Ownership stays with the people building the product.</li>
<li>We value written thinking, dashboards, and demos over slide decks. We work openly using tools like Slack, GitHub, Mixpanel, Notion, Figma, and Zoom — and we lean heavily on AI-assisted development (Claude Code and beyond).</li>
<li>Our team is distributed across North America, with strong clusters in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York.</li>

Senior Software Engineer, AI Product Insights

<div class="content-intro">About Mixpanel
Mixpanel is the leading product intelligence and analytics platform, trusted by more than 29,000 companies to help understand how people use the products they build. By combining powerful analytics with AI that knows your business, Mixpanel helps teams see what’s working, diagnose what’s not, and decide what to build next. Learn more at <a href="https://mixpanel.com/home/">mixpanel.com</a>.</div>About the Customer Digital Experience Team
Customer Digital Experience sits within Customer Engineering, the technical arm of Mixpanel's Customer organization.
A Our sharpest focus is the digital-only segment: thousands of companies with no proactive account coverage. Some have technical resources available to them, but that support is entirely reactive. It answers the ticket and solves the problem in front of it. Nobody is watching for the customer who implemented and then never built a report, or the account whose usage has been sliding for a month. Our job is to be proactive,, and everything we build should be as automated as possible, without a human initiating it.
Our programs run across the full customer base and are not one-size-fits-all. We build flows that branch and adapt by segment, tuning the content, timing, and channel for who's receiving them. An onboarding flow for a digital-only customer carries the whole experience; the version reaching an account with a dedicated team is tuned to complement what that team is already doing. Same underlying program, deliberately different execution, continuously optimized based on what each segment responds to.
We're close to the data and to the technical reality of how customers implement and use Mixpanel. We're not guessing at what customers are doing; we can see it, and we build against it. This is a small, new team standing up a new function. The playbook isn't written yet; we're writing it together.
About the Role
As our Digital Adoption &amp; Lifecycle Manager, you'll own the communications that drive adoption, retention, and expansion across Mixpanel's customer base, with our digital-only customers as the sharpest test of whether the programs work. You'll design lifecycle programs triggered by real behavior: a team that just implemented but hasn't built their first report, an account whose query volume dropped for three straight weeks, a power user hitting the edge of their current plan. Then you'll write the emails and in-product messages that move them forward.
This is a builder's role, not a maintainer's role. You'll define the segmentation, write the copy, set up the triggers, instrument the measurement, and then argue with the data about what to change.
It's also a deeply collaborative one. You'll work hand in hand with our Customer Success Digital Programs Manager, sharing a roadmap and dividing the work. You'll partner with Marketing on the overall email calendar so our lifecycle sends and their campaigns aren't competing for the same inbox. You'll support adoption initiatives coming out of Product, turning a launch into something customers actually try. And you'll take cues from customer-facing teams about what's landing and what isn't. Very little of this job happens alone.
You'll also help define what agentic customer success looks like at Mixpanel. The scaled programs we build today are rules and triggers; the ones we build next will involve AI agents that can interpret a customer's situation, decide what that customer needs, and act. We're early here and we don't have the answers. We want someone who is already experimenting, who already has opinions about where agents help and where they break trust, and who wants to shape how this gets built.
If you like clean handoffs and finished systems, this isn't it. If you want to build the thing from zero and own the number it moves, read on.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Build the lifecycle communication program end-to-end across onboarding, adoption, retention, and expansion, from strategy through copy, build, launch, and iteration</li>
<li>Create programs that serve the full customer base while working hardest for digital-only customers, and decide where messaging should differ for accounts with a dedicated team</li>
<li>Design behavior-based segmentation using product usage, health signals, lifecycle stage, and account attributes; define the triggers that decide who hears from us and when</li>
<li>Write clear, useful customer-facing copy across email, in-product messaging, and other digital channels that reflects Mixpanel's voice and gives customers a reason to act</li>
<li>Build and ship campaigns in tools like Customer.io, HubSpot, and Statisfy, including the audience logic, templates, and QA that keep them reliable</li>
<li>Partner with Marketing on the shared email calendar, coordinating timing, frequency, and audience overlap so customers get a coherent experience instead of three messages in one week</li>
<li>Support product-led adoption initiatives by translating launches and feature pushes into lifecycle moments that get customers to try the thing, and report back on whether they did</li>
<li>Keep our library of lifecycle messaging current as the product changes, retiring what's stale and rewriting what no longer matches reality</li>
<li>Define success metrics for every program, instrument them in Mixpanel, and run a regular reporting cadence on engagement, adoption lift, and downstream retention and expansion impact</li>
<li>Run experiments on subject lines, timing, sequencing, channel mix, and audience definition, and kill what doesn't work</li>
<li>Work with customer-facing teams to learn what resonates in conversations, translate it into programs that reach customers without proactive account teams, and make sure digital touches complement rather than collide with human ones</li>
<li>Pilot agentic approaches to scaled customer success, where an AI agent can personalize a touchpoint, surface the right next action, or handle a customer interaction end-to-end, and develop a point of view on what should be automated, what should stay human, and how we'd know the difference</li>
<li>Identify gaps in our data, tooling, and process, and propose what we should fix first. This program is new and the infrastructure is being built alongside it.</li>
</ul>
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
<ul>
<li>Experienced in customer lifecycle communications, ideally in a B2B SaaS environment, focused on post-sale adoption, retention, and expansion rather than demand generation or pre-sales</li>
<li>An excellent writer who can be concise, specific, and useful to a technical audience</li>
<li>Hands-on with lifecycle and marketing automation platforms (Customer.io, HubSpot, Braze, Iterable, or similar); you build the campaign yourself, you don't hand off a brief</li>
<li>Fluent in product analytics (Mixpanel or similar) and comfortable pulling your own data to define segments and measure results</li>
<li>Familiar with customer success platforms (Statisfy, Gainsight, Totango, or similar) and how health signals and customer data feed scaled programming</li>
<li>Strong at segmentation, able to reason about cohorts, behavioral triggers, and audience overlap, and knows when a segment is too small to matter</li>
<li>Data-driven in practice, not just in principle; forms a hypothesis, measures the result, and changes course based on what the data actually says</li>
<li>Comfortable being measured on business outcomes, not open rates alone. You've directly contributed to metrics like GRR, NRR, activation rate, and time to first value.</li>
<li>Genuinely collaborative. You've coordinated a shared calendar with Marketing, taken input from customer-facing teams, and supported someone else's launch without needing it to be your project.</li>
<li>Experienced working alongside customer-facing teams and comfortable earning their trust when your programs touch their customers</li>
<li>Able to drive projects forward independently across teams, with the judgment to prioritize, make tradeoffs, and keep things moving without a defined playbook</li>
<li>Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by building from the ground up</li>
<li>Actively experimenting with agentic customer success. Not just using AI to draft copy, but thinking about where AI agents can take real action in the customer lifecycle. You've tried things, you've seen what falls over, and you have a point of view on what's ready and what isn't. We'll ask you what you've built or what you’re ideating on.</li>
<li>Using AI purposefully in your day-to-day: drafting and iterating on copy, analyzing campaign performance, scaling research and segmentation work</li>
</ul>
Nice to Have
<ul>
<li>Experience launching a scaled or digital customer success program at a company that didn't have one before</li>
<li>Experience serving a long-tail or self-serve customer base where digital is the only channel available, alongside segments that have dedicated account teams</li>
<li>Experience with in-product messaging tools and lifecycle orchestration beyond email</li>
<li>Hands-on experience deploying an AI agent into a real customer-facing workflow, at any scale, including the ones that didn't work</li>
</ul>

By combining powerful analytics with AI that knows your business, Mixpanel helps teams see what’s working, diagnose what’s not, and decide what to build next. Learn more at <a href="https://mixpanel.com/home/">mixpanel.com</a>.</div>About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to serve as a key partner to Mixpanel’s Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) organizations. This person will own infrastructure cost, EPD opex, and headcount planning while building scalable systems to improve visibility and decision-making, as well as the analytical frameworks that guide how Mixpanel deploys capital and allocates resources across these areas. You’ll partner cross-functionally with Engineering and Product leadership, People, and Finance to ensure investments are intentional, efficient, and aligned with long-term company strategy.
Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Own the Product investment envelope – Manage OpEx and headcount budgets across EPD. Ensure investments align with company strategy while maintaining efficient spend and margin targets.</li>
<li>Drive rigorous workforce planning across technical and corporate teams – Build bottoms-up headcount models by function and level. Partner with Engineering leaders to sequence hiring against roadmap needs, compliance requirements, and operational scale.</li>
<li>Model infrastructure and internal systems economics – Develop clear forecasting models for cloud hosting, AI/compute, internal tooling, SaaS applications, and enterprise systems. Identify optimization opportunities across both product infrastructure and corporate tech stack.</li>
<li>Translate roadmap and corporate priorities into financial tradeoffs – Evaluate build vs. buy decisions, capitalizable vs. expensed R&amp;D, and vendor investments across EPD. Provide clear recommendations grounded in ROI and long-term cost structure impact.</li>
<li>Elevate budget vs. actuals rigor across the organization – Lead monthly BvA reviews for EPD. Automate reporting, improve accrual accuracy, and surface actionable insights—not just variance explanations.</li>
</ul>
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
<ul>
<li>8+ years of experience in FP&amp;A or strategic finance at a high-growth technology company.</li>
<li>Proven to be a partner to Engineering leaders – You’ve supported technical teams and corporate functions, understanding how product velocity and operational infrastructure translate into financial outcomes.</li>
<li>Fluency in infrastructure and SaaS cost drivers – You understand cloud economics, AI/compute scaling, enterprise tooling, and how architecture and vendor decisions impact margins.</li>
<li>Strong workforce planning – You’ve managed complex headcount models across multiple departments, aligning hiring pace with financial guardrails.</li>
<li>Advanced financial modeling – You build scenario-driven models with clear assumptions and sensitivity analysis that stand up to executive scrutiny.</li>
<li>Strong analytical judgment and the ability to identify the few variables that matter most within large and complex datasets.</li>
<li>Ability to operate independently through ambiguity and bring structure to problems that do not have an established playbook.</li>
<li>Excellent executive communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex financial and technical topics and develop polished, executive ready deliverables.</li>
<li>A high say/do ratio, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities, assumptions, and technology can change quickly.</li>
